CHECKING IN: September 28, 2009 (12:53pm)

September 28, 2009
Good afternoon. Here are a few links which are in need of establishing as they pertain to the lateness of the hour and the need to be walking in the Spirit.
LAST TRUMPET NEWSLETTER OCTOBER 2009 (Treachery – Hidden in Plain Sight!) This is the monthly link to David Meyers site.
FLASHBACK (Mike Boldea) In this posting, Michael offers insight into his years of growing up in Romania under communism.
The above two links shed some incredible light on prevailing conditions in the land today. PRAY MUCH AND STAY CLOSE TO JESUS!
DON’T BE A STRAGGLER (Cindy in SD) This is an important admonition to follow the Lord Jesus in real time and not procrastinate. Time is running out!
HAVE YOU PENETRATED THE VEIL? SCRIBE OR PROPHET (Scottish Warrior) This is an incredible discussion of discerning between those who have been in the presence of the Lord Jesus and those who limit themselves to reading about him.
Over the past few days, two things have been “front and center” so to speak. First has been an incredible closeness to the Lord. It’s like just when one begins to think they’ve experienced the unparalelled sweetness of the Lord Jesus, he brings them to a new level that, just a week or so beforehand, could not have been imagined. A place so incredible, that the only way to describe it is to concede that it’s beyond describing. A place of fellowship and revelation as we begin to truly understand which issues are relevant and which are merely distractions that disguise themselves as being relevant. All that is in the world, which folks busy themselves with monitoring, analyzing, and taking part in, will pass away. When the final breath has expired, the only thing that truly matters is ones standing with God. All of these “things observable” will pass away, but a soul is everlasting.
There are, at this very moment, souls in hell with no hope, who just 24 hours ago were concerned about their career path, the goings on in the geo-political realm, the faring of their favorite football team, and what have you. There’s simply no way of adequately relaying the seriousness of this.
The other thing is a greater revealing of just how difficult the journey can be from viewing the world carnally to walking in simple childlike faith. I mean how many of us can honestly say that we literally “take no thought for the morrow” without first taking inventory of our physical options? All who are born of the Spirit strive to arrive at this place of complete trust in the Lord and complete abandonment of any confidence in the flesh.  Yet the old nature and the ever present manifestation of atomic structures work tirelessly to hinder us. It reveals, all the more, the importance of feeding on the truths of Gods word and remaining close to the Lord consistantly. To truly be overcomers in a world that is thoroughly primed to welcome, with open arms, a beast that will seek to exalt himself above all. Never has it been so important to have our affections 100% on the Lord Jesus and the age to come.
Well I have to be going for now. A apolagize if these thoughts seem redundant as they center around very basic truths. Blessings always in Jesus name.
II Peter 3:11 “Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,
Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with a fervent heat?
Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for a new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.”

  1. Brother I could not agee more with all of your points. I think that the lateness of the hour and the futility of the things in this life we deem important, , the true nature of these things can only come by illumination. God’s Word of course is Revelation, and then there is illumination. And what illuminates the Scriptures? Jesus Himslelf who is the life of men and that life is light. I have been in 11 Peter in the last few days and in part inspired my latest post which I believe is important for Gods remnant people to grasp…..God bless you brother, as always, kindred spirits…..Frank

  2. Thank you, Timbob, for taking the time to encourage and sharpen the brethren.
