Checking in: March 27, 2010 (12:01 PM)

March 27, 2010
Good afternoon.  It’s been another hectic week, as we began working overtime at work, baby goats were born at home, (Boo-ton had three again) the constitution of the United States was severely weakened and the nations slide into totalitarianism acellerated. I know that it sounds like a drastic statement, however, we know that unimaginable events will transpire in the time of the end and “we’re merely wittnessing the harbingers at this moment.” Earlier this week, I heard a mainstream commentator (someone who adheres to a particular world view and gives no heed to the prophetic side of things) question whether or not we will even have elections this fall. If one portion of the constitution can be compromised, none of it is safe. To most, it sound like crazy talk, but anyone who studies scripture knows that this status quo will not continue indefinately.
Much speculation can be offered up concerning the flow of events, however, the most important thing right now is for everyone who knows the Lord Jesus to be in fervent prayer. Continually examining ourselves, being in a place to hear what the Spirit is saying, and interceding for the priceless souls in our ambience who are not prepared for the woeful day. We cannot navigate these times in the flesh. We see through a glass darkly and while we know the basic perimeters of things to come, none of us have a complete picture of what the manifested product will look like. We cannot begin to guess what “except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved” is going to look like, however, the information that Jesus offers us lets us know that it will be a time like none other.
If there has been a single word coming to the forefront this week, it would have to be the word “ALL.” It is imperative that we are fully commited to the Lord Jesus and that are affections are 100% set on things above. A love for this world; its system, its wares, or its values, will open the door to compromise-without-remedy. Words fail to convey the sense of urgency that’s been building for months. Most of us are the product of a continuance that has been in place for as long as we can remember. Even if our lives were in turmoil from every angle, we went to sleep every night feeling relatively certain that the infrastructure would remain intact. The idea that everything familiar is being systematically disassembled is difficult to fathom; even for one who routinely studies bible prophecy. And yet we are witnessing it all around us. The events of this past week are but a tiny by-product of an agenda and conditioning that’s been going on for decades as the world is beint prepared to usher in a son of perdition.
I know of people who believe that Mr Obama is the antichrist. (we know that he fits the billing of “an” antichrist) I currently don’t believe that he is “the one” whom the world will wonder after. Such a revelation will have to come from on high and will be granted at the proper moment.  Speculation of this nature can be dangerous and and misleading; causing ones discernment to be hindered. Nonetheless, a statement made by Mr. Obama earlier this week was very revealing of a heart filled with love of self and no regard for the creator of all that is. This isn’t the exact wording, but I’ll place it in parentheses as to not confuse this comment with anything else written here. He stated words to the effect of:
“Some have referred to this health care bill as Armageddon. (audience chuckles) So right after I signed it into law, I looked up; expecting meteors to fall out of ths sky and the earth to open up. Well none of that happened. The sun was shining, the birds were still singing, and….it turned out to be a really nice day.” (audience chuckes louder)
Proverbs 16:18 “Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.”
Another pondering that’s been in the forefront this week is that every person will stand before God. “And I saw the dead, small and great” is all inclusive of every soul who has ever travelled through the valley of decisions. “And the books were opened” tells of a judgment that will call into account every deed, every word, every thought and every motivation. We know that the man of sin, whoever it turns out to be, will make war with the saints and prevail against them in the physical realm. We overcome that wicked one by holding fast the testimony of Jesus Christ and loving not our lives unto the death. We absolutely must have our affections upon the Lord Jesus and our heart must be abiding in the realm of the everlasting. We cannot serve two masters. Peter Lillington  has a most important admonition at the top of his blog: “Those who marry the spirit of this age, will find themselves widows in the next.” I apolagize if this post sounds excessive, but it seems that very few of us (myself included) understand the full perilosity of the hour.
Well, I’ll be going for now as this weekend is filled with things that must be attended to. Thanks to all who continue to stop by. I’m minded to make the rounds to other sites tonight, although it will be late. Malachi 3:16 continues to come to mind and this is a great forum wherein we can “speak often one to another.” Encouraging each other as we see the day approaching. Tomorrow, Kimberly and I will celebrate our eighteenth wedding anniversary.
Incidentally, David Meyers talks extensively about goings on in the Obama administration, the economic metamorphosis currently underway, and the increasing toxicity of our ambience; both physically and spiritually. here’s a link to the April newsletter entitled:
Blessings always in Jesus name.
Revelation 20:12 “And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which are written in the books, according to their works.”
Mark 13:37  “And what I say unto you, I say unto all, Watch.”

  1. Congrats on the anniversary, Timbob! It’s interesting, isn’t it, how people confuse the whole anitchrist thing? I saw a website once where the owner didn’t believe in the antichrist as a person but only as a type. Only thing was, he’d got the whole definition wrong, since he assumed that “anti” meant “against,” which of course it doesn’t. In the Greek, “anti” means “in place of,” so in that sense, Obama definitely puts himself out there as an (not THE) antichrist. May God have mercy on him in bringing him to repentance.

    Blessings, Cindy

  2. Hi Cindy. The example that you mention reveals a tendancy to always be watchful for. It’s easy to misunderstand a thing and then build upon that misconception until we’re way out in the boondocks of error. Sometimes this becomes manifest when we read prophetic observations from several years ago that, in light of more recent developments, seem dated and out of touch. (Of course here too we must be careful as deception will cater to logic and appearances) Nonetheless, we do know that certain things will transpire and were given certain guidelines in scritpure to look for.

I’m continually reminded to beware of mingling imaginations with revelation. (I have an imagination that requires continual arresting) It shows, all the more, that we cannot navigate these waters in our own strength or understanding.

We should all pray for Mr. Obama as he has an eternal soul. Thanks for making mention of this. All agendas and ideologies aside, the real issue is that a soul is in need of salvation. And while I truly believe that judgment is upon the land (because of sin; not a political agenda) we should be greatful for every day that the Lords hand is stayed. Each day that arrives, someone will come to know Jesus as Savior and an eternity in everlasting torment avoided. When we consider prophetic events in terms of souls, the seriousness exceeds our vocabulary to convey.

Thanks so much for stopping by. Blessings always in Jesus name.

  3. last trumpet is out

  4. Hi Timbob,

It’s great to be back in my own home again with familiar loved ones around. While I haven’t caught up entirely on updates this month, I am having a quick stop by grace county. 🙂 (My trip south was a great success, the Lord touching hearts – mine included – and probably completing more than what is just the obvious.)

This post, and your last one also, brings to the forefront the lateness of the hour and the wholeheartedness we must have for our Lord.

I am saddened by your quote from Mr Obama – he knows not the severity of his actions, and the warnings of those opposed fall on ears of unconcerned apathy. It is unfathomable that he can take the importance (or rather the unavoidable consequences) of what he has just passed into law so lightly.

I am hoping to post on my blog eventually (it takes a little to get back into the swing of things) as the Lord has been opening up many things in His word; nothing really new, but full of importance and life giving grace.

Congrats on the 18 years (DH and I celebrated 12 years in January). May we always remember to walk in love and forgiveness, esteeming others more highly than ourselves – truely the secret to a blessed marriage.

  5. Hope you two had a wonderful anniversary!

I feel so much happening these days. I don’t understand how it all fits together but the days are exceedingly evil.

This is my verse for the week that is very fitting to this post Psalm 32:7 – “you are my hiding place, you shall perserve me from trouble, you shall surround me with songs of deliverance.”

We are in a war as Satan makes war against the saints. Abiding in the Word and prayer are some of our greatest weapons. He who is in us is mightier than he who is in the world – now that is something to praise God about!

  6. My spirit grieves over the ever-growing partisan divide in our nation–the way we make politics a personal vendetta to attack any opposing ideology. I believe the Lord is just as wounded over us when we spend more time railing against our governmental leaders than praying for them as He is when liberals attack morality and push the left-wing agenda. God help our nation!

I definitely don’t believe Obama is the antichrist, but I do agree that he is operating with the spirit of an antichrist, perhaps as a forerunner of the coming leadership. Truly, the antichrist could not come to power with America being the strong voice of democracy it has been. The more we learn to rely on governmental hand-outs, the more we pave the way for the ushering in of the one world order that is to come. I love the verse Rachel posted–Psalm 32:7 is the order of the day. May we remember that God is our Great Physician, and He sent out the disciples with the charge to heal the sick and raise the dead. May the church move into faith like never before; and may “these signs follow them that believe…”

    Bless you!

  7. I saw that man again. I asked him if he was going to church for Easter. The next day (today), I handed him a card that showed all of our Easter services and Good Friday service. Maybe he’ll show up. 🙂

  8. Hi Timbob

Wishing you a Happy Easter (ie resurrection day). True about the current situation in America. Some things have irreversibly set in motion, and all we can do is watch and pray….and also be amazed that it is happening right before our eyes. May we all be safe in the days ahead. God bless you and your family.

  9. Hi Fivepeas. Great to hear from you again. I’ve likewise been struggling to find time for engaging in this forum. You touched on something that I believe to be true. Mr. Obama doesn’t understand the severity of his actions as is noted in the quote. (Incidentally, he restated the same quote a couple of days ago)The same is true for so many, both in public office and in other places of influence. But we are to pray for all who occupy such positions; regardless of their agenda.

Thanks so much for stopping by. Blessings always in Jesus name.

  10. Hi Rachel. What an incredible hiding place we have in the Lord Jesus, as the passage from Psalm 32 states. I was going to it before commenting and accidentally landed on Psalm 37:2 which tells of how the wicked will soon be cut down. It’s interesting how Psalm 37 and Psalm 73 have the same theme; to not be envious of those who seem to prosper from wicked devices but to understand the biggr picture. (I love Psalm 73)

The passage that you mention, however, does line up with something that’s been a point of pondering over the past week. A strong tower will protect one from any threat; regardless of how severe it may appear. The Lords protection and providence is does not depend upon favorable conditions. And even if we are overcome in this world, the opposer cannot pursue us beyond the realm of atoms.

Thanks so much for stopping by. I apolagize for the delay in responding. Blessings always in Jesus name.

  11. Hi Chrystal. Your observations are very accurate concerning the partisan divisions. There was a time when I was deeply involved in such conversation. There is no life in that conversation and it obscures our discernment. In fact, this post came uncomfortably close to resembling some of that former conversation.

In observing transpiration upon the earth, I prayerfully strive to see the bigger picture; knowing that, regardless of who is occupying the chief seats of authority, events are moving in the direction of prophetic fulfilment. Fulfilment that may not resemble the image that plays out in our mind when we consider their mentionings in scripture. Things are moving very fast.

Thanks for taking time to stop by. I’ll strive to swing by this weekend if possible. (It’s been unbelievable crazy around here as of late)

    Blessings always in Jesus name.

  12. Hi Code. This will be truly awesome if he shows up. Even if he doesn’t, we can certainly keep him in prayer, and perhaps soon he’ll be out there sharing the gospel. CRs conversion highlighted what can happen when we pray fervently for another and not allow physical circumstances to discourage us. I’m convinced that these encounters have been directed from on high.

Thanks for taking time to stop by. Blessings always in Jesus name.

  13. Hi Marianne. You touch on something that’s important for us to remember. The events transpiring in the world today; be they policy decisions, the breakdown of morality, or what have you, are all the result of prophetic fulfilment. The time of the end is approaching and Jesus stated that “except those days should be shortend, there should no flesh be saved.”

I know many who engage in political wrangling and there is a place for dialogue of this nature. However, we also understand, that certain things are going to come to pass. When the son of perdition steps onto the world stage, our constitution will no longer be a relevant document. (This may happen far sooner than most of us envision) We don’t desire the woeful day, however we know that it’s coming.

Thanks for taking time to comment. Blessings always in Jesus name.
