MOVING DAY

December 29, 2010
This is post number 458; the final installment on this site. (for now anyways) Here is the address to the new site:
http://timbob3.wordpress.com
This is bittersweet as this has been a place of much fellowship, deep cogitation, aand encouragement. However, just as we have no continuing city in this life, it is time to open up a fresh venue which focuses more on issues of eternal significance. The intent is to write that which has been placed on my heart; striving for every word to be profitable, and encouraging. May each word cause the saints to draw closer to Jesus and everyone who has not yet believed on him to consider this great salvation.
A single verse came to mind as I was thinking on the direction of the new site:
II Corinthians 11:2 “For I am jealous over you with godly jealously: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ.”
May everything that we say and do, be to the glorifying of Jesus Christ; who shed his blood for us that we may have a place in the world without end. The new Jerusalem, wherein we shall abide forever in his presence. The new site will be a learning process as I’ll probably be delving into topics that have not been a primary focus in times past.
Blessings always in Jesus name.

  1. Hi Timbob

I too am looking forward to a deeper focus with a greater determination…or perhaps, expectation. 🙂 Now is the time to walk worthy of the calling with which we were called.

“a fresh venue which focuses more on issues of eternal significance. The intent is to write that which has been placed on my heart; striving for every word to be profitable, and encouraging”

May we all examine ourselves in word, deed and thought and not be found idle; focusing always on our Lord…not looking to produce the fruit of righteousness in and of ourselves, but submitting to the hand of the Lord and allowing Him to reign and His righteousness to shine in us.

I am looking forward to following your thoughts on your new blog…may we continue to encourage each other and prayerfully progress toward the goal of the upward call of Christ Jesus.

Your post “Standing at the Gates of Hell” convicted me of just how important it is to be sensitive to the promptings from the Holy Spirit to prayer. We may not know each other, nor each other’s circumstances, but we are all one in Christ and should be always in prayer for our brothers and sisters in the Lord. We may not even know the name of the saint whom we feel to pray for, but now is the time when so many need intercession. This is another thing I have had weighing on my heart.

May we all continue to grow in obedience to the Holy Spirit as we willingly listen to His still small voice.

Sorry for the lengthiness but figured this would be it for me too here in Grace County… 😉

Blessing for the new year Timbob.
