Lonely Nights

Philippians 3:7-8 “But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ.
Yea, doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord; for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ,”

The aspects of discussion on this page are not pleasant to the flesh. And yet as we grow, we also must die to ourselves. Firey trials, seasons where we seem to be in free-fall, and what have you, bring us to the end of ourselves and ultimately into a closer place with the Lord. The finished product will be a person who looks more like Jesus and less like the person they used to be. This page is being launched on April 19, 2012 and will be a gathering place for links to posts and other writings which address the firey trials and season of darkness.

6 SIGNS YOU ARE IN A DARK AND HOLY NIGHT (Girl Apprehended) At the bottom of this post, she provides a lit of other writings in which she addresses this topic. This blog has been inactive for over two years, however, it contains many incredible insight concerning this widely misunderstood topic.

ARE YOU A LONELY CHRISTIAN? (Scottish Warriors) As we grow closer to Jesus, we will find that fewer seem willing to travel alongside us. We may well be separated from those whom we considered close brethren. Most of our brethren tend to reach a certain place and “plateau.” They carve out a comfy niche in the realm of christendom and stay there. Those who have walked close to the Lord have always been outcasts; and yet this is the place of life and true fellowship. Of death to self and commiting of all that we are to Jesus, our faithful Creator and Savior. This is another site that one should consider visiting regularly.

THE PROPHETIC SAVANT (Tentmaker) This is linked to in other places, but it’s message is right in line with this page. When a person begins to draw really closed to Jesus, they will find increasingly less fellowship in this world. In the west, many (most) professing christians are hesitant and even fearful to give Jesus their all and they tend to shun those who do. Such a life is lonely from a natural standpoint, however, the presence of the Lord, and the taste of the age to come is indescribably sweet.

DARK THE SHADOWS HAUNT THE NIGHT (Scottish Warrior) This post admonishes us to continuously look to Jesus and never look back. It contains a you tube presentaion.

As more writings are come across, I will add to this page.
